Shiashing Inn (Kinmen)
This hostel was built in the 19th century during the reign of Cing Emperor Guangsyu (1875~1908). The building, in traditional Southern Fujian style, was originally used as a government building. It is based on the swallowtail-eaves type of construction, and all the construction materials were shipped by special order from mainland China. The layout is comprehensive and majestic, and the delicate pillar and beam engravings exude a traditional artistic atmosphere. With modern rooms and a graceful environment, the hostel is one of the best in Taiwan.
